Son Man Sik

Son Man Sik was born in Seoul, Korea, and currently lives in Cheongdo.
He studied Arts and Communication at the Daegu University and took his Master´s Degree at the Yeongnam University.
Apart from being a painter, he is also an art critic and painting professor at the Daejin University.

The interest for art, and painting in particular, occurred naturally in his life, as he is inspired by simple facts and everyday experiences. He is a pure realist with a vast and acknowledged collection of works, such as bull fight paintings, very characteristic of Cheongdo, as well as still arts.

Son Man Sik uses a very singular technique of oil on Korean paperhas, and already achieved around two dozen individual expositions in various Korean cities, as well as in China (Shanghai), the United States (Los Angeles and Las Vegas), Singapore and Hong Kong. In 2009 he participated in a delegation of Korean painters invited to expose in the Lisbon Art Fair.
