Georges Mazilu
Georges Mazilu was born in 1951, Romania. He has a Master’s Degree in Fine Arts from Grigorescu Art Institute in Bucharest, 1974.
Internationally known for his signature style linking contemporary surrealism with the art of the Northern Renaissance. Masterfully executed and beautiful, his paintings portray mysterious figures seemingly caught in deep contemplation or frozen in the midst of enigmatic rituals.
Resident of France since 1982, Georges Mazilu participates regularly in the major Parisian art salons (Salon de Figuration Critique, Salon de Artistes Independents, etc.) and exhibits extensively in Europe and The United States.
