 - Large Kangxi (1662-1722) plate. Heavily decorated with floral patterns and animals and the Pelgrans family coat of arms. Part of a set commissioned by Jacob Pelgrans, director of the Dutch East Indies Company (VOC), resident of Bengala between 1702 and 1708 and deceased in Batavia in 1713. An image of a plate from the same set can be seen in "China For The West", by David Howard and John Ayers, vol 1, p. 82, im. 39. Some rim fritting.
