Maassluis, Netherlands, 1967. Lives and works in Portugal since 1990.
Graduated in Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, Portugal and at the Royal Superior School of Fine Arts in the Hague, the Netherlands.

Inez Wijnhorst defines in a poem the exhibition “Garden Party”

Look up,
light is seeping through
in patches of gold
filtered by a thousand greens.

Hear, all winds are whispering
through the leaves and branches
what do they say?
Mystery…
what do they know?
this breath of moistured air
leaving all its words behind
in every leaf a word unspoken.

what is it that the wind is sowing?
and my breath?
Winds words (and mine)
absorbed in forests living soul.

in awe, I feel, I sense, I smell…
fallen leaves transformed to soil
fallen words.., …still…, all is well
sound silence is there to tell
for whatever question, doubt or thought
the forest answers:

Peace
rooted firm and deep,
stretching arms towards the sun
regenerate…grow, let go, surrender, release,
thought and sense and sight and smell
and listen to the whispering leaves:

that keep on saying
…all is well….
