Ana Cristina Dias

Ana Cristina Dias was born in Lisbon in 1967.
She concluded the Audiovisual Imaging and Communication course, at the António Arroio School. In 1990 she began her Painting degree at the University of Lisbon’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

She dedicates herself to the human figure, but explores other elements such as animals, feminine overviews or architectonic perspectives, always with an enhanced freedom of expression and pursuing only one thought: “to obtain simplicity, for that is where beauty resides".

She was a regular exhibitor since 1994 in collective shows, and between 2000 and 2005 she presented some individual exhibits in various galleries and places of artistic promotion throughout the country. Between 2005 and 2010 she stopped for a period of reflection and artistic development, dedicating herself to photography and illustration.

In 2010 Ana Cristina Dias resumes the public presentation of her works in three collective exhibits, now with more energetic features, using beautifully mixed palettes and singular themes, which result in very expressive and sensitive images, allowing us to foresee an enormous artistic potential in bloom.
